About Me

I’m Maggie, an elementary teacher turned stay at home mama to my two boys. I love raising my boys on our family farm and writing about all our adventures and our sweet, kooky animals, especially my chickens.

We’ve had such a crazy, busy weekend at our county fair. The boys look forward to it all year. There’s so much there to do; fishing, archery, walking around the natural resources area, visiting all the animal barns, watching team penning & the tractor pulls, kiddie pedal pulls, a scavenger hunt, playing in the corn box... We don’t do rides or games, but the list of things we do there just keeps going. Fully enclosing the overhang of the chicken run & fox/predator proofing is about half finished. The bottom half is completed allowing everyone to go out again (when someone’s home) & making them all very happy.
